DAY ONE:
0830 – Welcome and Introduction
- Overview of program and content.
- Objectives of the Course
- Gain an understanding the Sport of Indoor cycling
- Gain an outline of attributes and coaching skills required
- Learn structure, levels and types of Indoor cycling classes
- Gain an understanding of relevant government legislations covering health and safety; procedures; use of equipment; relevant clothing.
- Achieve required grading structure outcomes and certificate.
0900 – Anatomy theory – understanding the human body;
1000 – Morning tea
1015 – Physiology, including cell metabolism, cell respiration cycles = the body's power supply.
- Heart rate levels
- Hydration
- Cardiovascular fitness effects on the body
1100 – Personal Attributes
1130 – Health & Safety regulations, Employment Act.
Lunch Break = 30 mins please.
1230 – Class structure –
- The Class
- Class structure
- How to build a general class
- review warm up, cool down principles
1330 - Basic Level class
1430 - Afternoon tea
1445 – Basic level practical
1545 – Music
- How to obtain
- What elements to use – types, use beat differences, rhythm.
- Equipment
- Volume
1630 - Homework
(Prepare 5mins practical and music routine)
DAY TWO
0800 – Notices – Evaluation forms.
0805 - Review Homework – present to class prepared routines.
0910 – Structure of Intermediate Class
0930 – Intermediate class practical including warm up cool down, stretching routines.
1015 - Morning tea
1030 – Structure of Advanced Class
1100 – Advanced class practical
1200 – Lunch Break = 30 mins please.
1230 – Other forms of classes – special, race etc.
1310 – Written Test
1410 – Practical Test
1515 – Afternoon Tea
1530 – Course Evaluation
1600 - Certificates
1700 – Safe journey home. |
